Robin Hills Campfire and Wide Game - 23 June
Robin Hills Scout Troop ran a district campfire followed by a wide game for
all scouts on the Friday closest to the longest night of the year.
The wide game was a lot of fun with a few surprises along the way! Thanks
to Robin Hills for a great evening!
RPL - 28-30 July
The Gilten PLTU Unit ran a Regional
training course for all PL's and Seconds who haven't attended PLTU at Delta
Park.
The guys learned a lot over the weekend and met some new people in the region
as well.
Well done to Dylan, Byron, Ryan, Marcus and Evan for doing the course!
Honeydew Backwoods Camp - 13-15 October
Honeydew Scout Troop ran a district Backwoodsman Camp in October in the Cradle
of Mankind.
Congratulations to Byron and Ryan on completing their Backwoodsman badge.
PLTU - 8-17 December
The 45th Gilten PLTU course was held
at Gilwell in December.
Alex, Byron, Evan and Marcus attended the course. Ryan, Stuart, Chris, Dean
and RJ were invited on staff.
Well done to all the boys who took part.
BP Sunday - 25 February 2007
This years BP Sunday was held at Trinity Primary School. Instead of our usual
gala we held a BP Cricket World Cup after the service. We had different forms
of cricket from bathroom and kitchen to extreme ironing cricket! Even with
the high temperatures a lot of fun was had by all who attended. Thanks to
Darren for organising and all others involved.

Kontiki - 2-4 March 2007
The annual Kontiki weekend was held
on the first weekend in March. This is an area competition held at Murray
Park in Springs. We entered a raft and a supporters camp this year. We cam
21st in the Raft competition out of 58 rafts and 31st out of 70 overall. Well
done to all who attended, and thanks to those who assisted with planning,
organising and transporting.
